Fun Times with Grandaddy & Gran

Oliver loves his Gran Anne
All smiles for Grandaddy

The picture below is from "cuddle time". We have cuddle time almost every morning. All three of us pile onto our big bed and play together for a little while to start the day. The freedom to linger and enjoy our son each morning is one of the best parts of being self-employed. I think it is everyone's favorite time of day!

Photo Shoot at the Beach

On Easter weekend, it was such a treat for all 3 of us head to the beach for our first family portrait. Oliver wasn't digging the windy, sandy beach but we are sure he will grow to love it. I feel confident this is only the beginning of pictures of him on the beach...

We were so blessed to be photographed by my dear friend Alana Joyner. She and I met at UNCW when we were going through training to become Young Life leaders. We've been friends for almost a decade now and although we live in different cities, we remain close. I really treasure her friendship. She is a professional photographer these days and I think her talent speaks for itself. Thanks so much Alana & David (her hubby) for capturing these moments!

New Lens

Andrew got a new lens for our camera. He was just practicing with it and came up with this shot. I like the tiny dab of drool on OT's chin.

Rice Cereal- Oh My!

This look says it all. Of course, his hand is on his ear! Sometimes we think he is going to pull off his ear because he is always holding it.

I love the juxtaposition of Andrew's delight and Oliver's frustration

The reason I have such an amazed face is he took the spoon from me and put it right in his mouth. We always knew he liked to eat but he was really taking charge. Needless to say it was a messy but humorous evening!

Jumping?

So we bought Oliver a jumper thing that hangs in the door frame. So far he has done more relaxing than jumping but, we are hopeful he will get the hang of it soon. We love this picture.

Hanging out on the play mat

So little on such a big couch

Thank the good Lord we got our taxes in the mail today! My grandmother has owned a few H&R Blocks in my hometown my whole life. She recently sold them but, she still works there and gave us this bib. We are definitely thankful for the sweetest tax deduction ever!

First "Sick" Visit to the Dr.
This morning when I was dressing Oliver I noticed he had a bit of a rash. I gave him a thorough look over and realized he had little red bumps on most of him. The doctor's office said to come in so they could see him. Oliver was all smiles for the nurses and the doc. They were impressed to hear about his mobility. The rash should be gone in the next 24 hours or so. We are thankful it isn't anything serious. We did find out that he is 12.2 ounces and 24 1/2 inches long. So, he is tall and a bit skinny.
