18 Months Old

We had Ollie's 18 month appointment this past week. You won't guess but, he is in the 90% percentile for weight and 95% for height. He was rather active during the visit.
To start our visit at the pediatrician, Oliver sprinkled 20 or so Cheerios all over the exam room floor. The doctor walked in the next moment and you could hear was the sound of crunching Cheerios :) Oliver smiled- apparently he was amused.
Next, Oliver became interested in the doctor's retractable name badge. At first he was just playing with it and everyone was smiling. When Oliver was done playing Mr. Nice Guy, he yanked it so hard it looked like it was going to rip right off the doc. I think we were all surprised at his vigor. After that little episode the doc put the name badge away.
For the last part of the visit I tried a little trick during the shots. Right before the nurse stuck him with the needle I gave him a sippy cup of milk. The kids LOVES milk so he didn't even make a peep when she gave the shots. The nurse was amazed but, I was not.
To end our morning, at the check-out counter, I passed on the sticker since last time Oliver actually ate the scratch and sniff one he was given.
