Off Trileptal

So as of tonight Oliver is officially off of Trileptal. This is the med that Dr. Thiele (FYI, pronounced, teal) said could be causing the Infantile Spasm seizures. Today, Oliver only had 1 seizure! Good thing we just bought another $50 bottle of Trileptal :) We are beginning to have a pharmacy around here.

Time will tell if Trileptal was involved- perhaps within the next week a pattern will emerge? I would think once it has time to totally work out of his system we can hope to see a significant decrease or complete stop of the Spasms. Dr. Theile told us about a child, similar situation as Oliver, who experienced a complete stop of the seizures once being off Trileptal. So, if you have a moment, join us in praying for a similar outcome for our soon to be 2 year old.
