Good Morning

Last night, our friends, the Farrells, brought us a wonderful meal! (They are the family we stay with and they also shuttle us all over town. They are so good to us and we couldn't be more thankful for them!) It was so nice to have a home cooked me and see a dear friend. We feel a bit alone here so, thanks Carolyn, for warming our hearts! Frankly, we are used to a constant parade of family and friends when Oliver is in the hospital so this is a big change.

Gratefully, we all slept fairly well and per Dr.Thiele were not disturbed. Thank you, wise woman! Every other time we've had an EEG they come in at least 4 or 5 times at night "just to check" which equals waking mom and dad up over and over again. It is like being tortured, like having a newborn. And Lord knows we aren't trying to do that right now! So thank you Dr. Thiele for letting us sleep!

No seizures so far so we are holding Oliver's meds this AM. We'll see how it goes. Oliver has been so cute this morning saying "no!" to everything. We are enjoying it so much! In other contexts this wouldn't be so cute but, after the radio silence of last week this is so precious to us.

Thought y'all might want to know that there is yet another amenity I am pumped about at this hospital! There is a Keruig Coffee Maker in the parent lounge. WOW! Is this the Ritz or Mass General? Amazing how a good, cup of coffee makes it all better.

Lastly, this is shameless but, we LOVE to hear from you. It helps with the lonely, isolated feeling! stephanielanier@gmail.com or andrewlanier@gmail.com. Thanks sweet friends and family.

Oh sleep sweet sleep! It's such a wonderful blessing....especially at the hospital. Thank goodness you are able to rest a little and aren't required to stay awake all night while Oliver is hooked up to his EEG. I hate that!
