We have dates and plane tickets for Boston! We fly out of RDU, early next Tuesday AM and will be admitted to Mass General that same morning. We'll be in the hospital at least 2 nights and 3 days. We are so very thankful to get an appointment this quickly- it is a miracle! Thank you sweet Lord!
Since coming off all the meds Oliver's sweet personality has returned! We are very thankful to have that part of him back! He is so darn cute! On Mother's Day he even offered up a spontaneous kiss for me (a rare treat!) All of that is very encouraging and helps us relax a bit.
In not-so-good news, he continues to struggle with seizures and therefore, speaking. It is very painful for us to watch him lose the gift of communicating that he once had. We think it is still "in there" but, never-the-less it stinks for the words to be MIA! We have an i-pad on the way and we are hopeful that this will help us to communicate again. Oh, to hear "I love you" or "all done" or "papa" again!

That's such wonderful news about Boston! Continuing to pray for you all and that you will hear Oliver's sweet words again very soon! Happy Mother's Day to an amazing mother! Faison Sutton
PS - this picture of Oliver is AMAZING! Such a cutie! I saw him last week at First Baptist when I was dropping off Houston and he seemed so happy with those wonderful teachers!
Congrats and good luck on the upcoming appt.
It's amazing what these seizures do to our little ones. When Bup was little, under 2, his speech was delayed and he under went therapy. He was seizing an ave of 9 seizures a day then. As soon as the docs found the right med combination/amount, the seizures stopped and his speech took off! Amazing!
I pray this miracle happens for Oliver too.
