It is 11 pm and Oliver has
finally gone to sleep. It was a beast of a day! I keep thinking each day will get better but, so far there hasn't been a time of peace for more than a few hours. Just when you start to relax he starts crying or going wild. There are flickers of Oliver that come for 30 min to 1 hour. These are wonderful and sweet. The times when he is his old self get us through the wrestling, crying, hitting, biting, etc.
In the good news department I have a few things: 1) Oliver's left eye is beginning to open again. That blue eye is so pretty and I love seeing it again. 2) On the advice of my sister-in-law Catherine I gave Oliver prune juice for constipation. It worked like a charm. Why in the world didn't I think of that (duh!) 3) Jim and Anne arrived safely. Andrew is having dinner with them and then sleeping at the Farrells tonight. When he went to the sleep room today there was a crying baby next door. Have I already said that Andrew is a
very light sleeper? (Take note Oliver, if you try to sneak out as a teenager there is NO way you'll escape!) I am hoping being out of the hospital will get him recharged. I plan to take a turn at the Farrell's house tomorrow night. 4) I got to take a shower at the Farrells and spend some time walking in the city this afternoon. It was so nice to be alone for a few hours.
Thank you for your prayers and support. I am sorry I can't update more...too many fires to put out here. Perhaps tomorrow will be more calm?

The Farrells are the family we are blessed to stay with in Boston. Here are their fun picks in their O-Team shirts!

And now the Andersons. Mark and Carolyn are siblings and that is how we all got connected. We continue to marvel at the generosity of the Anderson and Farrell families.
