Oliver's Preschool party was on Tuesday. He had fun although he didn't really understand the party or that all of it was for him. Maybe next year? My heart just longs for him to "get it." The two things he did understand were the cookie cake and marshmallows! The kid loves to eat.

He has the sweetest little classmates. The cutie beside him is Ya-Ya who is always looking out for him. She'll tell the teachers if she thinks he might be having a seizure or needs help. The typically developing little girls are such little mamas to him. It makes me so happy to hear of the ways they help take care of Oliver! We are thankful.

On Oliver's birthday (the 23rd) we had cake with our family. He was not interested in blowing out candles, instead he literally dug into the cake. My mom and I clearly were not expecting that!

We figured, why not let him do whatever he wants with it...he'll only be 3 once!

Once he got both hands involved we knew a bath was in the near future.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for healing for Oliver on his birthday!

We pray in this year ahead he'll talk so much that we'll be complaining he is never quiet. We long to hear him speak freely, loudly, uninhibitedly! The gift of communication is so precious...and we'd love for Oliver to have the full riches of it.

We pray next year he'll have a birthday party,
where he'll pick a theme or something he likes,
with friends that he won't have the urge to bite,
with awareness that it is his birthday,
with a mouth bursting with words
and
without any seizures!

We are already praying and dreaming for 12-23-12. Will you pray and dream with us?

James 1:17
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
