So It Begins

This is Oliver's first do-rag as an EEG hat. It looks kind of like Hells Angels to me, it is a more hardcore look than the stocking we are accustomed to him wearing.

The ambulatory EEG begins today at 2pm. I think it is going to be an interesting 24 hours!
We probably won't have results until Tuesday of next week.

6 months ago today Oliver had his first brain surgery.

This day, the official 6 month mark, is when it can finally be said,
for sure, so I'll say it.

The surgery didn't work.

We are not part of the miracle half

OK, I'm glad I've said it, now let's get on with life; Oliver sure has!

I love the little rag top instead of the stocking cap. A little more cool...a little less "what is going on with that kid".
Nighttime always worried about ambulatory EEGS, but Rhett seemed to do better than I imagined. I hope this is true of Oliver for you. They are such troopers!
6 months. Wow. I hope the next 6 months bring growth and new miracles for you all.
Hugs.

The hardest lesson for me has been that sometimes God gets more glory in His sustaining grace through the disability than in the healing of that disability. Somehow, I think you are still in the miracle .... That God is IN you, walking WITH you through this, that He is your HOPE of glory.
