Boston Update #1

We are in the city and enjoying perfect autumn weather. It really feels like fall- highs in the low to mid 60s! We are having fun getting to know the very gracious family we are staying with (Carolyn & Rich and 3 young kids). Oliver is having a great time playing with their children and all their toys. This afternoon we went to a neighborhood park with all the kids and Oliver had a blast. It was so cool to see how these urban mommies make it work! So different than loading the mini-van and driving places.

Trista has been enormously helpful. We have no idea how we would have done all of this travelling without her. She is really is a blessing! I'll post more on this later but, getting Oliver (and the stroller) on and off the "t" (Train system here) is quite the ordeal. We have some funny stories and I'm sure more to come. These city parents are so hard-core with these strollers and steps. I am really in awe of their "go- with-the-flow" attitude. I think I could learn a thing or two in this city!

Tomorrow at 11 am we have our long awaited appointment with Dr. Theile. On the second plane ride Oliver fell asleep but, he had 2 seizures that caused him to wake up from sleeping. Both seizures were brief but, the second seizure included a head tremble. We've never seen him do that before so it certainly is something we are going to mention tomorrow. We aren't with him when he sleeps so this was really good to know this is happening so we can tell the doctor. It confirmed that all the hard work of getting here is worth it...this is definitely where we need to be right now. God continues to bless us with His peace. We sense your love, prayers and support for us and it is a great gift!
