Demolition Circus

We are excited about our trip to Boston tomorrow. We'll try to update the blog but, if we can't I'll do a full update when we return. Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes!

Really, who needs "Goodnight Moon" when you have a Bible Commentary to read?

Today we took Oliver to a friend's second birthday party. The event was titled "Bamm-Bamm's Demolition Circus". Sam (aka Bamm-Bamm/B-day Boy) is the only kid near Oliver's age that is bigger than him (Sam is 40lbs, Oliver is 36 lbs). Both of them have to be gentle with the little girls in their Sunday School class, because an enthusiastic hug turns into body slamming very quickly.
Oliver loved when Sam's mom, Tara, arrived as Clifford! He also really liked the lollipops. I only gave him one, but he begged for two more off of other people. He is a very efffective food beggar. As the title of the party suggests, Oliver did some demolition. He tossed over one entire plate of food, and then took a huge handful off another kid's cake slice :) By this time both of us were frosted with sticky, yet yummy icing. The circus came to a close for us when Oliver tried to get in the water bucket being used for the "bobbing for apples" activity. It was fun and wild...exactly what a toddler's birthday party should be!
