Today at Fit 4 Fun Oliver rode a roller coaster of sorts; since that was the title of my last post I thought I'd share...
After our last post we were able to get in touch with our ped. neuro at UNC. He prescribed Keppra, our next seizure med. So far Oliver hasn't had a seizure all day (Thank you Lord). The new med has made him more sleepy and clumsy, but we can live with that. Apparently, one of the yucky side effects is really aggressive/bad behavior. It could show up anytime in the next month. We hope this doesn't happen for obvious reasons, but if it does we'll be on to seizure med # 5. Thank the good Lord there are 10-12 we can try!
Overall, we feel very relieved that we are seeing results with this new med and NO seizures...Hooray! We're praying this med works for more than a few weeks this time :)

Hey Stephanie,
It's Cathy from college. I just happened to see your blog and was reading about your dear boy Oliver (he is beautiful!) It sounds like you won't go with UNC, but if you wind up at Duke or UNC, I work at the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill (there is one by duke as well), which can be a wonderful resource if you all wind up coming up at all for appointments for little Oliver. I know many families facing similar things. I will lift you all up in prayer. If you need more information feel free to call or email me. Cat8710@aol.com.
