Kite

This week my daddy, Oliver's "Papaw", has been in town helping. We've had a good time and I've really appreciated all the help! On Tuesday we were able to go to the beach to fly a kite.

I have good news! Oliver only had 2 seizures yesterday and 3 on Tuesday. That is still too many, but a big improvement from the 9 or 10 he had each day of the weekend. He did great this morning during speech therapy. His speech seems to bounce back fairly fast after a seizure flare up. He is still struggling with the sensory issues but, as the seizures subside that usually does as well.

This is a roller coaster for sure. The bottom line is things can change on a dime with Oliver and you just savor the good days and trudge through the bad. I am encouraged that when his seizures are minimal or non-existent, he does SO MUCH better. So the developmental gains are in there, the seizures just "hide" them.

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy one of Israel, your Savior." Isaiah 43:1-3
