This weekend we got to visit with the Millers (Andrew's sis' fam). It is always fun to be with their family of 6! Holly and Jeff are some of our parenting heroes so we always take the opportunity to learn some lessons from them! This is Jeff and Jeremiah. The above photo is Oliver playing with the surf lockers- he is really into locks these days.

Now for medical news- we've decided to move forward with surgery in Boston. This afternoon I got to talk to Dr.Thiele for a while and it was exactly what I needed to make a decision. What we'll be going for is a pre-surgical evaluation to see if Oliver is a candidate for brain resection surgery. We'll meet the neurosurgeon at this time. I feel so much better having made a decision about where we are going to go. Now we have to wait for the appointment. We are praying it will be soon!
In other news- I called the Social Security Administration today to check on the status of Oliver's disability. They said they did not show him in the system. What? No way! How could that be? Within in 20 seconds the tears started flowing. I didn't see that coming at all :) Anyway, tomorrow during that precious preschool time I have to go down to the SSA office and try to begin sorting it out. I spent hours and hours on that application and the fact that nothing has happened yet is so disappointing! I had imagined we were close to getting an answer- man, was I wrong! I am hoping tomorrow I will find a sympathetic ear at the SSA and we can re-initiate the process.
We'll keep you posted once we know more about our Boston trip. In the meantime we have cancelled our Friday appointment with the Duke neurosurgeon--one less trip to make---yahoo!

We're on the same path...somewhat. Waiting for surgery dates for a right temporal lobe resection...tuber removal.
I'll add your little man to our prayers.
Praying for you in all of these decisions and praying for healing for Oliver and God's hand to quide all who are looking after him.
It is great to see your endurance and faith to run this race. There are so many steps to take on this journey, and we do pray that each step is brining you closer to a healthy outcome for Oliver. We can tell that God is near you and teaching you, which is one of the blessings that come from trials.
hang in there and we'll keep praying. we love you all.
