After such a harrowing night and morning, here is a little video to encourage all of you :) Create a new window for the video so you can see the entire frame.
We are thankful Oliver is more stable today. Oliver's pain is being controlled pretty well but, he is still uncomfortable. Truth be told, he is miserable. We just remind ourselves that he won't remember any of this, even though we sure will.
We have been calling him Rocky because of his awesome black eye. It is rather dramatic.
We are grateful that he is having seizures (3 or 4 today!) and Dr. Thiele is happy with the EEG data we are getting. We know we talk about how wonderful she is all the time, but she really is... We are 100% happy with the team we have here. Jan (Dr. Thiele's nurse) has also been by to see us a few times. They both feel a bit like family and that is so special to us.
Oliver is wanting us to be near him more. He is reaching for hugs and wanting to be reassured. It is so precious. Of course we are so happy to oblige.
Tonight Andrew and I got out of the hospital for a walk, shower and a trip to CVS. The weather here is amazing. No humidity and a little crispness to the air. It was a lovely time for us. I am a big proponent of mamas and daddys getting out of the hospital as much as possible. It makes our marriage stronger and makes our collective mental health more stable. We also get refreshed and reminded that our identity isn't wholly consumed with having a sick child.
We were able to take a two hour nap this afternoon which was also much needed. As soon as we hit “publish post” we are hitting the sack.

We'll try to update as much as possible. We love y'all and appreciate all the ways you continue to love us SO WELL!
Love and Hugs from Boston!
