Cabin Fever

Oliver has multiple strains of a Staph infection. They need one more day to do sensitivities, which is when they make sure that the germs he has are responding to the antibiotics being used. The infectious disease doctor thinks it is highly unlikely that Oliver has MRSA! We will likely be discharged Tuesday AM, and then Oliver will be on three more weeks of oral antibiotics when we come home.

Being in the hospital this long is no fun, yet we are thankful we have more time for the wounds to heal. I am a little jumpy about that, considering how things went last time. Today a little bit of blood came through the steri-strips and we were able to have neurosurgery come by and double check it. That is worth a great deal!

Today has been more of a challenge, as Oliver is getting cabin fever. He is having some rather terrible tantrums. We think he is totally over it! We are getting rather bored as well! Our talents as toddler clowns have hit the wall. Thanks for cheering Oliver on! We appreciate all of you so very much!
